1969
Bertil Lidh started the family-owned Lidh
Tools with tool making on a modest scale. The leased premises
consisted of approximately 100m ², with offices
and staff room. The cost of equipment investment amounted to about 150,000.
On this occasion, the company had two employees.

1974
Built on our own factory building with about
400 m². New equipment investment was made.
The staff was now 6 employees.

1978
This year was invested in EDM wire cut. The staff was now 10 employees.

1981
Extension of existing factory buildings were
made of 250 m² and the increase in staff and
of office with about 70 m².

1987
Extension of existing factory buildings and offices were made, total factory
floor space was now to 1700 m².
The staff was now 28 employees.

1990
Extension of existing factory buildings, land surface now amounts to 2,000
m². It invested in eccentric and
hydraulic press for testing the tool and
measuring machine for measurement of the details.
The staff was now 28 employees.
1995
New equipment investment is made for approximately 3 million, and an
extension of office and warehouse space with approximately 500m ².
Large investments are made in terms of its design
capacity.
The headcount in Lidhs Verktyg AB are now 35
employees.

1997
The family business is undergoing a generational change, where the
second-generation drives the business forward.
The group employs a total of 40 pcs
1999
The company is certified acc. ISO 9001.

2000
Investment in additional hydraulic tools
for testing, press force of 630 tons and
Investment by a CNC measuring machine with
CAD interface.

2001
The company is the first tool company in Sweden,
which certifies its quality system according
QS9000 Tooling & Equipment Supplement. Lidhs
opens a design office in Värnamo.

2002
Investment in 5-axis machining in milling machines. Extension of office.
Number of employees: 60 pcs.

2003
Investment in
software for sheet metal simulation,

The first tool for export is manufactured
2004
Investment in new 3D CAD system, TopSolid.
